As I am regularly asked, what are the books that I most recommend on History, Missions, Evangelism, Reformation and Home Education, here are some of my favourite books:
On History:
The Great Christian Revolution by Otto Scott,
Robespierre – Inside the French Revolution by Otto Scott,
Foxe’s Book of Martyrs by John Foxe.
Some of the best books on 20th century History, that I have read, include:
The Great Betrayal by Ian Smith,
Churchill, Hitler and the Unnecessary War by Pat Buchanon,
Freedom Betrayed by Herbert Hoover.
My favourite Devotional books would be:
Morning and Evening by Charles Spurgeon,
My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers,
Anything else by Andrew Murray.
The best books on Evangelism, in my opinion, are:
Hell’s Best Kept Secret by Ray Comfort,
Evangelism Explosion by Dr. James Kennedy.
On Eschatology, I highly recommend:
The Puritan Hope by Iain Murray,
Last Days Madness by Gary deMar,
Coming Again – But When? by Jerry Newcombe.
Classical books I highly recommend, would include:
A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens,
Bleak House by Charles Dickens,
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen,
War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy,
1984 by George Orwell,
Animal Farm by George Orwell,
In His Steps by Charles Sheldon.
