A Christian History of Africa

This is an overview of the history of Christianity in Africa. It begins with the Church Fathers and John Mark, who was born in Africa. The growth and decline of the church in Sudan is explained.
Other pioneers are also traced: Samuel Ajayi Crowther, a former slave who became the first African Bishop of the Anglican Church; Robert Moffat who translated the entire Bible into the Tswana language and befriended Msilikazi; David Livingstone, who explored the whole of Southern Africa and dealt a blow to the Muslim slave trade, and others who left an imprint of the gospel on Africa.
