We are URGENTLY looking for ten speakers to defend homeschooling against the BELA Bill in Pietermaritzburg on Saturday, May 13th.
You only need to speak for three minutes - that is about 350 words.
We will give you everything you need - even help you to write your speech.

If you are not willing to speak (but we do urgently need ten speakers), you can also just go submit a written submission to say NO to the BELA Bill.
Believe it or not, but we have a very real chance to stop the BELA Bill. For those who don't know about the Bill, it is legislation they are trying to pass which will make home education more expensive and more restrictive. It will also allow the Minister to make regulations, thereby making it even more difficult to homeschool.
Some of the restrictions being enforced:
1. Home visits (right now it is unenforceable, but this will make it legal)
2. Annual assessments
3. A minimum of CAPS
and much more.
Parliament is currently traveling the country. They hold public hearings on the BELA Bill in each province. This past weekend was the hearings in Gauteng and the homeschoolers absolutely showed up!! We completely dominated the hearings with our resistance.
Now it is KZN's turn. So please roll up your sleeves, stand up, and SPEAK UP for our children!
